Weekend Bulletin: 28 November

This Weekend Bulletin promises to be another unmissable read — with top-class action right. The major meeting takes centre stage, but with Doncaster, Newcastle (Fighting Fifth fixture), Musselburgh and Bangor across Friday and Saturday, plus Carlisle and Leicester on Sunday, there promises to be something for everyone. Ireland also hosts a two-day weekend meeting at Fairyhouse.

“I have a couple of handicap debutants for us to watch on Friday … one at Newbury and one at Doncaster … while I’ve got a progressive chaser lined up for Newbury on Saturday. I hope to get the nod for a quiet one at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening while the forecast for heavy ground at Carlisle on Sunday is just the news I was hoping for.”

“I’m looking forward to a busy and exciting weekend of racing. At Newbury on Friday, I’ll be opposing one of the short-priced favourites with a horse I believe could prove to be the best his trainer has ever handled. Over at Doncaster, there’s a handicap debutant lurking on a low mark who looks ready to make his presence felt. Saturday brings a chance to focus on the novice hurdles, while Sunday at Carlisle always offers something of interest — and I’ve already marked down a couple I’m keen to keep onside. I’ll also be sharing thoughts on some promising point-to-point recruits.”
