Weekend racing analysis

Our season finale is here with the Aintree Grand National extravaganza taking centre stage. Not only do you get the Friday to Sunday analysis, but we are throwing in the opening day of the Grand National fixture as well, meaning you are getting FOUR days of analysis!

Marten writes:

“Aintree’s three-day Grand National Festival is my favourite meeting of the season, featuring an increasing number of Cheltenham contenders either bidding to follow up their success or gain compensation. In the big race itself I will be keen to land the second leg of the Spring Double, having advised the Lincoln winner, but I’ve also got news of a horse that has been saved specifically for this meeting and a less-exposed Irish raider that may slip under the radar. It promises to be a fantastic three days!”

Jodie adds:

“Like Marten, Aintree is my favourite three-day meeting in the calendar and it has served me well in recent years, so here’s hoping that fortune continues. The handicaps are notoriously tricky but I had a strong fancy on Thursday and I am also teetering on taking on one of the short priced favourites in Grade 1 company. Friday opens with a minefield of a handicap hurdle but I’ve made a case for a horse priced at 25/1. I’ll also be sharing my thoughts on my long-time fancy for the Topham and I have a bet in the concluding handicap hurdle. On Saturday it’s the big one, but I have two contenders in the handicaps before then, so let’s hope for a bit of luck along the way. Whatever happens, it promises to be an excellent three days.”

Come and join us for our finale on what could be a show stopping weekend.

Jodie says (26/3/2026)

“The excitement really builds for Aintree, my favourite three days of the year. I’m already eyeing a 16/1 contender for the Topham Chase, and the Red Rum Handicap Chase looks set to be one of the standout races of the meeting, with several runners targeted specifically for it. As for the Grand National, my shortlist is down to three, and I’ll be narrowing it further over the next fortnight as the picture becomes clearer.”
