Weekend Card 3 May

£4.00

Edition 329

Our weekly racing publication packed this week with news from Marten Julian, Ian Carnaby & Jodie Standing.

Marten writes:

“This week’s Card is packed with news for both Newmarket and lower-profile meetings. Four Premier List horses are entered to race and I have three runners at Newmarket to monitor with a view to bigger targets later in the season. I also highlight an eye-catcher that ran down the field at a low-profile meeting in Ireland, while Jodie has views for Hexham on Saturday and Ian Carnaby has a couple for Goodwood on Friday.”

Description

The popular and highly-profitable Sleeper section has been amalgamated with the Under The Radar feature and, in the absence of a Dark Horses Guide, the Premier List qualifiers will be published in the Card with updates every week on their forthcoming entries and progress.

The Dark Horses section is devoted to some intriguing long-term handicap projects, with big-race targets, a select bunch of unraced and unexposed horses and weekly updates and informed comments as and when the qualifiers have entries. This feature includes some intriguing news from a few shrewdly-run northern yards.

With the emphasis throughout the Card on continuity, the Look Ahead is coupled with the Retrospective – my appraisal of how the previous week’s selections, both winners and losers, performed.

Our regular contributors Jodie Standing, covering the jumping scene, and sprint handicapper specialist Ian Carnaby will be joined by a monthly feature from Dan Briden, who will pass on his information on unraced two-year-olds of topical interest.
