Chepstow’s three-day Jumps fixture marks the start of the Jumps Season proper for many people, while we also have National Hunt action up at Hexham. At Newmarket we have the third weekend of Group action with the Dewhurst, while the Cesarewitch is a season highlight for the staying handicappers.
Marten writes:
“Following the excitement of Longchamp, this weekend we will get to see the stars of tomorrow, with a small but select field for the Dewhurst Stakes and a competitive looking Cesarewitch. The jumps campaign moves up a gear with the traditional high-class card at Chepstow while I’ll have news for a couple of two-year-olds, possibly at York. It also looks like I’ll have something to say about Goodwood on Sunday.”
Jodie writes:
“You could easily tie yourself in knots this weekend, with so much on offer on both the Flat and over the Jumps. Tomorrow I have two selections at Chepstow, including a handicapper below his last winning mark, while on Saturday there’s a horse currently priced at 50/1 at York who could outrun those odds. On Sunday, I could have my first runners from the Point To Point Recruits – one of which I’ve nominated as having ‘Star Potential’. It’s a weekend not to be missed.”
