As we reach the end of September, the quality of the summer jumpers increases and there are valuable races on offer at both Market Rasen and Worcester this weekend. The best of the action, though, is of course the at Newmarket where there is Group action galore with the Royal Lodge, Cheveley Park and Middle Park, along with the Cambridgeshire Handicap. It promises to be a great weekend!
“This promises to be one of the most intriguing and informative weekends of the year, with the highlight being Saturday’s Cheveley Park Stakes, in which three outstanding two-year-old fillies – Senorita Bonita, Sun Goddess and Libertango – will meet. There is also the Middle Park Stakes, the Royal Lodge Stakes and the Cambridgeshire. On Friday there are three Group races including the Rockfel Stakes, while I have something for the undercard and also for a horse at Haydock who has been patiently waiting for the soft ground.”

“There’s plenty on offer this weekend, with top‑class action at Newmarket, interesting races at Haydock and competitive cards over the jumps at Worcester, Listowel and Market Rasen. I have three selections for Friday, and Saturday could be the same, though I’m particularly looking forward to the handicap debutant I’ve followed since his debut.”
