Although it has been a quieter spell after the Festive period — not helped by the frost wiping out much of the programme — the Weekend Bulletin has kept ticking over, with Jodie finding five winners from her last seven selections.
Now we’re back into the thick of it for the Berkshire Winter Million event across Windsor and Ascot, and both Marten and Jodie are already lining up their weekend targets.
Marten writes:
“There has been plenty of rain around for the Berkshire Winter Million meetings at Windsor and Ascot this weekend, so in the likely event of soft ground I will have a couple of handicappers to tell you about. There is also a potential top-notcher for the AW entered and I’ll have something to say about a possible northern raider.”
Jodie adds:
“I’m hoping to carry my recent momentum into the weekend with a couple who appeal on Friday. Saturday brings some interesting novice hurdlers and a handicap chaser who looks to have more to come, while Sunday shapes up as another competitive day, featuring a strong stayer on a tempting mark who’ll be even happier if more rain arrives.”
