Extract from the Flat Journal (by Jodie Standing)
In the Coventry I like the look of Great Barrier Reef (3.05). The Aidan O’Brien-trained colt won effortlessly on his debut over 6f at the Curragh before being made to work harder when landing a Group 3 over the same course and distance last month, eventually asserting inside the final furlong to beat his stablemate Carry The Flag by just over a length. A lengthy sort with a long stride and a good attitude to boot, he looks to have more to come.
