The afternoon programme consists of the Woodcote Stakes (1.50), the Listed Surrey Stakes (2.25), the 1m 2f Investec Handicap Stakes (3.00), the Investec Oaks (3.40), the Group 3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes (4.15), the Investec Derby (4.35) and the 7f Investec Handicap Stakes (5.35).
I am publishing an in-depth preview of both Classics on Friday 3rd July – the eve of the great day – together with my news and information for the support races.
Both races have an open look to them at this stage, with English King and Frankie Dettori now at the top of the Derby market with 2000 Guineas winner Kameko next best. There is, though, still uncertainty about the runners with none available until nearer the time.
The Oaks market is headed by 1000 Guineas winner Love and impressive Royal Ascot winner Frankly Darling but, again, final entries will not be known until a few days before.
This has been a profitable meeting for us over the years and I hope to provide some imaginative insights into the afternoon’s racing.
