Description

It’s Ascot Champions’ Day next Saturday and it promises to be a thrilling afternoon of action.

With four Group 1 races and one Group 2, and a competitive 1m handicap as the finale, you couldn’t ask for more.

It should be a fitting finale to the 2019 Flat Season.

What is an Online Preview?

Marten writes Online Previews for most of the Flat season’s major meetings. These include the best of his up-to-date news and information and are available to read the evening before the day’s racing. Results, both on the Flat and over jumps, have produced a profit to level stakes since the service began.

Total Returns from all issues in 2018

Level Stake Profit: 75 points

Return on Investment: 37%

Because Marten’s selections are generally well supported this service is of great value to those of you who like to trade on the exchanges or take early/overnight prices.

The Record

The Record: A day packed with three Group 1 races, a Group 2 and a Group 3. Recent winners include Journey 6/1, Gordon Lord Byron 5/1, Charm Spirit 5/1, Forgotten Rules 3/1. 2017 was a bumper meeting, with Persuasive 8/1 (advised 28/1) and near misses with GM Hopkins 20/1, Accidental Agent and Poet’s Word 7/1 – all placed.

Marten says:

The programme starts with a Group 1 sprint, where Advertise may head the market, followed by the Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes.

The highlight of the day will be the likely reappearance of Stradivarius in the Champions Long Distance Cup, where he may be taken on by Kew Gardens, followed by the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, which could see Benbatl joined by Ascot specialist Lord Glitters. Aidan O’Brien will be strongly represented in the Champion Stakes with eight of the early entries.

I hope you will be joining me for what should be a fitting finale to the 2019 Flat Season.
